Political Violence in the East End - A Mean Streets Tabletop Game in 28mm

Disturbance At Hobbs End

Timely Intervention by local Police.

This is the 6 o'clock news.

Yesterday there was a nasty disturbance in the East End, two uniformed members of the BUF went for a pint in the Britannia pub Hobbs End high street. They were chased out by a gang of six dockers, but the timely intervention by a mounted police officer stopped things getting too serious.

The gang, not content with this, proceeded down the high street towards the tube station where another two Blackshirts were selling newspapers.

During the fight two beat police officers joined the fray, and another three (two mounted) came when they heard the whistles.

At the conclusion three arrests were made, the accused will face the Magistrates court on Monday and Fascist newspapers littered the street. Luckily our roving camera man was on the scene and we're more interested to know how he took such great colour photos in 1934!

This is Mertyle Tidworth for the six o'clock news, Hobbs End.
